Public Policy Committee

Back to Public Policy

The MRCC Public Policy Committee (PPC) helps set the policy agenda for the Chamber, as well as guide advocacy efforts. The PPC also develops and adopts MRCC's public policy positions each year.

The PPC generally meets the second Tuesday of each month from 7:30 - 9:00 a.m., September through May, at the MRCC Office.

In 2008, the PPC is chaired by Mr. Steve Bianchi of Associated Bank. The City of Lakes, Northeast Minneapolis and Bloomington Chambers of Commerce are also very active in policy issues impacting their specific cities and neighborhoods. Through member input, Board of Director direction, and other Committee activities, these MRCC affiliates are the voice for membership on important local issues.

Chamber staff work in conjunction with members to assure their points of view are a part of all relevant policy discussions. For more information on the Public Policy Committee, please contact Travis Bunch, tbunch@minneapolischamber.org, Director of Public Policy.
